Editorial policy
Select Match Preview aims to make football tactics clearer without overstating what can be known before or during a match. We distinguish explanation from prediction and correct the record when we get something wrong.
Accuracy and clarity
We check terminology and the logic of our explanations before publication, and make clear when an idea is a general tactical possibility rather than a confirmed plan for a particular team. We avoid presenting speculation as fact. Readers can contact us with a specific correction or a request to clarify a passage.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers, not because a club, company or partner asks for favourable treatment. A partnership does not determine our conclusions or guarantee editorial coverage.
Corrections
If a published piece contains a factual error, we review the point and update the wording where needed. Significant corrections will be identified in the article; clarifications may be made when they improve precision without changing the central meaning.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are identified as such and are not presented as documentary images.
A preview is a way of looking, not a prediction.
We explain the tactical clues worth noticing while leaving room for the match to surprise us.
